Complete Total Cost and Total Impressions to calculate CPM.

What is Cost Per Mille (CPM)?

CPM stands for Cost Per Mille, where “Mille” is Latin for thousand. In programmatic advertising, CPM refers to the cost an advertiser pays for 1,000 impressions of their ad. An “impression” happens every time an ad is displayed to a user, regardless of whether they interact with it.

Here’s how it works: If an ad campaign has a CPM of $5, that means the advertiser is paying $5 for every 1,000 times the ad is shown to users. It’s a common pricing model in digital advertising, especially for display and video ads, where visibility is the main objective.

CPM is a key metric for brand awareness campaigns, where the goal is to maximize exposure and get in front of as many people as possible, rather than driving immediate clicks or conversions.

tl;dr: CPM = Total Cost ÷ (Impressions ÷ 1,000)
